Internet Filtering Software and Internet Provider Services
Today, we have instant access to more information than ever
before. The internet has changed our lives forever; the way we do business, conduct research, communicate with family &
friends and entertain. And yes, even the way we parent. We cannot be afraid of the internet, but we must understand it.
The internet has added a new demension to the challenges
of parenting. In many cases, today's classroom assumes internet access. Unfortunately, the simple change between .org
and .gov and .com can make the difference between a charitable organization site, a US Government site
and a site containing inappropriate material.
As a parent, how do you protect your children?
First, contact your internet service provider. In most cases, you
will find the they offer some great tools, frequently free, and you simply need to activate supplemental software you already
have. Additionally, you may wish to add another layer of protection. The following provider sites/filters are not endorsed
by First Baptist Church of Circleville and there is no benefit or gain for us if you contact/use any of them. These are simply
sources that we know of that may provide good tools for parents, as they endevor to meet the challenges of parenting
